"X-Terra only for the BIG-BOYS with brains!!"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Rear Wiper only has one speed. Sometimes it does not stop!!!

General comments?

She is a cherry... I towed cars out of trouble such as: 1998 Buick, 1978 Cadillac, 2000 Toyota 4Runner Limited, Ford Escort & my wifes 4x4 Explorer. X-Terra is a ROCK SOLID SUV, Drinks gas like there is no tomorrow, but she is very well worth it. I recommend her big time, for serious SUV drivers. Try pulling a 4x4 explorer thru mountain trails, you definitly see what I mean!!! It's fun, and yes I keep a list of WIMPS!!!

What vehicle did you use to tow the xterra with while towing other vehicles?!!! The Xterra is a powerless joke.

"keep a list of all the wimps"

What kind of "I have it all" attitude is this?

Good grief, a lot of it depends on the type of tires on the vehicle, what kind of weight is in the rear-end, the driver, etc.

Just like they've already experimented with the Rubicon Jeep finding that it doesn't do all that wonderful in lose sand in comparison to other vehicles - reason for that? It's heavy! Doesn't mean it's any less capable all the way around, or that it's a "wimp".

Just means every vehicle has it's good areas and it's downs.

For instance, I have an Isuzu 3.2L V6 4x2 Rodeo living at 8K feet, it sees it's share of snow, mud, ice, etc. I have yet to get stuck or even slide around for that matter running a good set of all terrain Revo tires one size bigger then stock and I keep 600-800# of sand bags in the back.

Want to hear something funny; I also own an 01 Dodge Diesel cummins 4x4 3/4 ton shortbed, with supposedly best of the line tires, BFG A/T KO's, standard size with what came with the truck.

I keep 1K# of sand bags in the back of that truck in the winter - however, it couldn't get out of the yard during our last heavy snow. All it did was spin it's tires.

Guess what, that 4x2 Rodeo with Revo's pulled out that 4x4 Dodge Diesel with BFG's - guess where more of my faith was that day?

Does that mean the Rodeo will pull that diesel down or up a mountain trail at any given time? Ha! Most likely not, that diesel weighs twice if not three times the amount - the Rodeo could bring it down a trail for sure, the weight of the diesel pushing it.

Do I have any less faith in the 4x2 Rodeo cause it more than likely cannot pull the diesel up a trail? Not a chance - but I do tend to take it out in testy weather more so then the dodge.

And those BFG's, they came off after that storm. Have yet to experience snow storm with the new Geolander's.

"A powerless joke?" I think not! I've owned my "X" for 3 years and pulled plenty of stranded motorist out, and mine is a 2wd to boot. It's all about how you outfit the truck and use it. Like I aways say, There's a reason the Xterra got truck of the year 2 out of 6 years! Viva La X.

Powerless? I think you have the wrong term here. These are not geared for highway, they are geared for pulling. Sure even a Honda civic is faster but can it haul a 2000 boat without really any change in gas mileage or power-loss?

7 years of trouble free performance.
