"FIND ONE!!"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Overdrive would not hold for more than a few minutes, until thermostat was replaced.

Kick down cable to tranny was sticking until sleeve and lube were applied.

Rust on wheel wells.

A/C totally broken from previous owner

trying upgrade with newer system.

General comments?

Only 3300 ever made with the TwinCam 16 engine and out of those only 500 with the 4-Speed Automatic OverDrive Tranny

Coolant must reach 120F degrees before overdrive will function..

LOVE THIS CAR!! Hey what do ya know it's Black with Red pin stripe!

Power windows, locks, cruise, adj. intermittant wipers, read defrost, 4 wheel disk brakes, econ/power shifting option on the A240E auto tranny, O/D on/off on shifter.

Suspension average, with most of the support coming from the 13" tires..

Turing radius not quite as tight as I expected (I test drove a few civis)

It's 17 years old and only 86k orig. miles! Friend really hooked me up on this for only $800 including tax and temp tag!!!

Hope to drive her to 250k.

This car later became the Geo Prizm with GSi package that was only made from years 90-92. They came stock with 130 HP and a 5-speed or 4-speed automatic they are also rather rare.

Ah, yes. the twin-cam 16, a.k.a. the 4A-GE. the same engine used in the Corolla GT-S and Japanese market Corolla Levin and Sprinter Trueno.

I have an AE82 Nova of my own. has the base 4A-LC motor, a 3-speed, and probably could use that overdrive gear... or even better, the 4A-GE and a 5-speed stick...
