The only thing that went bad on the car is the wiring harnes for the lamp switch. This was a recall, also I didn't know that the springs on the front were broke as well (also covered under a recall) I was kind of mad at the dealer for not doing this before I bought the car, but all is well. The dealer payed for a rental and towing.
The moment I test drove the car I knew I was going to drive it home. Its not as responsive as I would like, but the handling and just general comfort of the car more than made up for it. There is very little road noise, even on bumpy roads. Its not often you see 21 year olds owning one of these, but I love it, I have lots of friends, and I am always hauling something. overall this car is a+++
Hey man if you have a leaf emblem on the side of your car that says FFV you can run ethanol (E85) in your car.
Oh' and the reason the car isn't that responsive is because it was designed to run on ethanol. even though you can run gasoline in it. I did not know that my car would run on it till 2005. ever since then that is all I put in the car.
I do 0-60MPH in less than 6 seconds with ethanol.
Ethanol is cheaper than gas. about $1.30 per gallon
It is also 156 octane.
And don't feel bad about being 21 and having a Taurus
I am only 18
I get a bad rap for driving it because they are so under rated.
If you need any more info on ethanol or your car email me at colemanpolice@netzero.com.
