35mpg city/36mpg hgwy. that's true!
Color of the truck is yellow, Nissan only made about 75 truck models in yellow in 1986, so I have the rarest pickup model in 1986.
Wow- 35-36 mpg. That is really hard to believe when the best I've gotten on my early 86 2wd is 23.75 and my 97 4x4's best is 15.5 city and 18 on a slow hwy. (both of these are 4 cylinders) I have tried the tornado on my 03 dodge ram hemi and yielded 0 detectable mileage gain just as I suspected. What component (s) do you feel give you this great mileage? Maybe you should team up with Nissan to build their next model line-up as a 50% gain in fuel economy is unheard of. Sounds like a commercial for tornado/ magnaflow/ flowmaster, but if someone can convince me that it will do just a quarter of your claim I would be trying to replicate your efforts. I love my 97 but the gas mileage is pitiful in my opinion- esp for a 4 cylinder.
My 1996 2WD King Cab 4cyl XE seems to only average 22 to 23 mpg in mixed highway/city driving. I don't drive with fuel economy particularly in mind (I probably stomp on the gas more than I should, drive a little fast, etc.) but for a light vehicle/little engine, I'd expect better numbers. Road trips (burn a tank straight through on the highway) at constant speed, say 60 to 65 mph don't really yield better numbers.
That said, I love my truck! Very dependable and still a good looking truck... the design has held up well.
Where did you find the Air Induction System Parts.
