Since I've owned the car I have replaced three coil packs.
I have replaced both of the front window regulators. The manufacturing defect is a small plastic piece on the cable. It breaks, moves down the cable binds in a pulley, then breaks the cable. The regulator assembly cost $265. You can get a re-manufactured one off of ebay for about $150.
The automatic trunk release quit working. The problem was the release mechanism in the trunk.
There have also been a couple of recalls on this vehicle.
The handling and ride of this vehicle are very good.
Good car, but I also had problems with the rear windows. The control for the right rear window went bad, $257.00 paid up front before ordering the part, $90.,, for labor costs. 5 days to get the part. One month after having that window repaired the left rear window has done the same thing. Is there not someplace to check with the company about a recall on this particular problem? Buick always stated that the Le Sabre was the most maintenance free car built in America. What now?
