Air conditioning unit failed at 20,000
AUDI eventually agreed to fix that under warranty.
Various oil leaks throughout
stereo system packed up at 50,000
central locking pump failed at 75,000 - £525.00 to fix that one.
All else could reasonably be down to wear and tear.
A nice looking car when new, black finish helps. gloomy cabin.
A lot of stuff went wrong.
Performance is OK - not riveting by any means, but there is a nice solidity.
Yes buddy, expensive the repairs are indeed. As for your car leaking oil; I have the same problem. There was a design flaw with the seals. The car is great overall, but I'll tell you what: this is not a cheap car and yes they are high-maintenance. Therefore, I suggest you purchase an extended warranty that will cover pretty much up to anything on the vehicle. Some warranties, for example like mine, run about $2,000 (with a little deductible) for 36k miles and cover pretty much bumper-to-bumper. It's worth it--trust me--because to enjoy our Audis, unfortunately we have to keep maintaining them, and without a warranty, it will get very pricey.
