Cannot find a cure for a misfire in the engine. I have changed all the usual bit's but it still misses at 1500rpm.
I like the car otherwise.
The misfire may be caused by burn through on one or more spark plug lead ends which are long and fit down into the rocker cover and cylinder head.
You will see the arc if you pull one out while the engine is running. Silicone will give a medium term fix.
Not wanting to be completely negative but to pass on what I've learned, I've been informed through a dealer that the 8 valve version may misfire as a result of a crack in the engine block which only becomes apparent when the engine is warm allowing expansion of the crack.
