Standard 6 speaker clarion stereo and component speakers sound great, but ordinary cd's do have a tendency to skip, due to the sports suspension system.
No other faults, oh and excellent radio reception through the carbon aerial.
This car is a joy to drive.
The suspension and speed sensitive power steering makes you feel at one with the road surface.
The gearbox and throttle make you feel at one with the very eager and lively engine.
Amazing overtaking and acceleration ability when in correct gear, at between 4500rpm and 6500rpm.
Feels like it gets to 60mph quicker than suzuki claim.
Practicality:
Huge boot when seats folded flat, no intrusions from rear wheels (somehow) is like a van when it wants to be.
Recaro seats are so comfortable, and drivers height adjustment also smooths out the ride on highest position.
My car is black pearl, and is a special edition 1 of 2 made up by my local dealer.
Came fitted with 18" wolfrace matrix wheels.
Grill, door mirrors and spoiler are silky silver.
Looks the part and turns heads everywhere you go, I'm certain that a normal ignis sport would also stand out.
As for some reason it is somewhat of a rare car in this country.
I managed to keep hold of a subaru impreza round some nice B- roads, as it can corner at really, really high speeds.
Not ideal as a family car, however child seats are right at home in the back of this car, (only has 4 seats by the way)
On a rolling road test I paid for, my standard ignis sports engine was rated at 119bhp 10bhp more than suzuki reckon (this was using 97ron fuel)
Overall well pleased, excellent value, probably best performance per £, (will see off a C2 vts on a track)
Worth a test drive and a finance quote as dealers tend to be able to give 0% finance if you ask very nicely!!
Could you please show me a scan of your rolling road test?
You can send it to: el-shin-jon@lycos.nl.
Thanks mate.
Its true the ignis is a great cheap performance hatchback.. but the comment above worries me,, sorry mate... the scooby driver wasnt trying,, or had a problem,, i own both,, iggy sport and scooby,, true the I. S is a great car,, no other car in its class comes close,, but wrx/evos ect would and can make it look small,, sorry to say that no dis respect,, but still a graet small warm hatch.
I don't believe he said it was a WRX. I reckon an Ignis Sport would trouble a base model Impreza.

I agree, it would trouble a base model Scooby. They did a 1.6 didn't they? If not, then it might even trouble a 2.0 GX. Dream on if you think it'll trouble any turbocharged one, however.
