"Looks good, solid body and superb driving"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

None.

General comments?

This car offers impressive driving experience and the external fit and finish are good.

The steering has good feel and a nice balance between firmness to give a sense of reassurance at speed and minimal effort to turn at low speeds.

The big sedan body design makes it an excellent choice for families, low noise level and overall comfort more than make up for the adequate engine output.

Although the interior is well designed and laid out, but the material used lack a feel of quality.

In short, this car is the best Proton car ever.

I have bought the proton Waja Enhanced Version in Feb 2005, simply a great car with excellent handling and wonder full driving pleasure.

One problem the side bar on the drivers side between the front wind shield and the door is wider than should, it obstructs at corners to see the oncomming cars.

I just bought a proton Waja enhanced version last month. This is my third card ever since I start driving. I enjoy driving my enhanced type waja and have no regret to buy one. The only comment that I think I need to highlight is its interior part. The light color of the seat and finishing inside the car make it easy to get dirty. The color of the front dashboard make it look relatively cheap and too "plastic". I think Wira internal part is nicer and make them look expensive for its class. Proton should consider other color for the interior part in the next batch.

Overall handling, performance I rate Waja as very good.

Waja Enhanced model with 16 in tyres gives good handling and good road holding. I bought the car in Feb 2005 and it gives me satisfaction. Its worth buying the car as its the largest in its class and is RM40,000 cheaper than its next competitor. Performance is good. Keep up the good jo

b Proton.

I had just bought my waja enhanced version 1.6AT (got the car in June 2005), and I would have to say that it is a really good car. Real value for money.

With good handling, good torque from the engine, and really good fuel economy. I opted for the star silver color and I have to commend proton for the excellent color match between the interior and exterior.

So far I have clocked 6,000km and I had not experienced any problems. Or maybe because I'm lucky?

I used to be wary of proton and bought the car only because of my financial situation, but surprisingly I find it to be a great car and would recommend it to anybody wanting to buy a car within the RM 60,000 range.

Yes the car is very good, superb handling and stability thanx to lotus, wonderful sound system with 6 speakers, rear sensor for parking here in Egypt it's price is good it's nearly the same price of the Hyundai elantra

(the elantra is little more expensive) and the daewoo nubira

(the waja is little more expensive) but the waja is stronger than both ana I think the japanese mits. gallant engine is better and the handling surly is better.

I brought my Waja 1.6 AT in May 2005,the problem is that there is a windy draft sounds from the the blower when the air circulation switch button is depressed on and only occurs when accerleration is at 110 km per hr. I was told that it is a usual thing. Please advised me.

Are you proton sales-reps or genuine waja 1.6 EV owners? I am hoping for the later as I booked a waja despite objections from all my friends. Asked me to buy Optra 1.6 or 1.8 instead. Hope more waja 1.6 EV will post comments. I will do so once I received my car.

Actually, Waja is a good car despite all that were said. I know, because I own one 1.6AT for nearly 5 years now. Apart from minor problems with the windows, the handling, fuel consumption and power (I am talking of ordinary guys/ladies that drive to work and occasionally go outstation) are good. My impression of the Waja is such that when I change my car in a year's time, it will be another Waja. What I hope in the new 2006 Waja 1.6AT is, the engine will be replaced with the more powerful Cam-Pro engine. By that time, I hope Proton will implement cam switching to boost power beyond 100HP.

I bought my Enhanced Waja in Dec 2004, up till now no problems and I think it's a good car to drive. Worth my money and if given the choice again with 65k at hand, I'd make the same decision. The bigger tires give the car a steady feel.

I bought my new WAJA 1.6 AT, in Aug 2005, until now no problems, and I think is best car to use for long journeys. So far I have clocked up to 17,892km and I had not experienced any problems. Or maybe it's because I'm lucky.

Worth my money and if given the choice again with 63333k, yes the car is very good, superb handling and stability thanks to Lotus, I would to say that it is a really good car. Real value for money.

And thanks to Proton, and also like to say keep it up the good job to Proton.

My first car were iswara aeroback 1.3 and run for 130000 km, present car is wira aeroback 1.3 running for 150000 km. I have no problem and I have no comment on these car. My next car will be waja campro. I hope proton will not produce a "good car" like mercs or BMW, otherwise I cannot afford to buy it.

My comment is on the service center. The price is expensive. Good car mean good price, fair quality and good service by service centre (price, customer satisfaction).

Since it was launch in Malaysia, it has sold about 250,000 cars. In 2005 it was the best selling proton selling more than 3,000 a month. I have a WIRA auto and have book myself a WAJA Campro 1.6 manual. My wife drives a 1.3 Gen 2 auto and is as fast as my WIRA auto, but with better ride and handling. Well done Proton.

I bought my waja EV (manual) on Dec 2004, at first it was OK... good handling, good ride... but less than one year my gear box needed changed, at first they said its the gear box oil need to change, but few days later its tottaly condemned!! Luckily its still under warranty (2days to go)... I feel cheated and dissapointed coz they said these batch is the best and less problematic. And now after almost two years, the noised frm outside seems louder!! Anybody had the same problem?? Can anyone help me bout the noise?
