"This car is very reliable"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

The original 3.8 v6 blew a connecting rod after 18 years of relatively trouble free driving, it had 360000km on it at the time.

Replaced the 3.8 with a 5.0 v8 and a 3 speed automatic transmission out of an old omega.

The headliner fell from the backing and made a foamy mess at 365000km.

The alternator went at 368000km, only cost $50 for a refurbished one.

The original tie rod ends got a little loose and were replaced at 382000km.

Other than the basic maintenance this car has been amazing.

General comments?

The only thing I don't really like about this car is that it has a column shifter instead of the floor shifter.

The interior is a decent size and the gas mileage is respectable for the size of engine and weight of the car.

I definitely recommend people to acquire one of these classics, they make great restore projects.

You drove the same car for 23 years?

Didn't you get bored?

Most guys don't keep their wives that long.
