The back absorber is too soft.
Sound coming from the meter.
The part such as the rubber sealing of the door is in low quality.
The body of the car is too thin and easily bend.
The paint is too thin and easily scratched.
Still using radio player even for SE edition.
Not much assessories for auto model in order to save cost and lowering down the price.
All these problems occured during my first week of using my new wira aeroback 1.5 auto.
The quality inspection from the factory is not done by professional.
Price is too expensive for the low quality of the car.
Not much improvement with the se edition.
After sales Service is low.
Everything is the users' fault not the dealers' as they claim.
All the problems are normal as they claim.
I just bought Proton WIRA Sedan 1.5GL last 18/9/2005.
I noticed these weaknesses of the product;
a) Sound coming from meter (during 1st week-drive)
b) Rubber sealing of the door (window) not properly
fitted as the air through-in from outside.
C) The body too thin- easily bend.
It's recommended to buy the manual version of Wira SE. Interior design and quality are better than the auto version.
If you love the Wira SE version, that probably is the manual version. Don't ever go buy the auto version, it doesn't make any big difference with the old version of Wira. I own a Wira SE manual, interior is nice, sporty.
1.) Sound comes out from Odometer Problem, Why?
I have the sound problem from meter also. But, actually is not from the odometer board, inspect nicely and you will know actually the sound occurs when the silver color side cover hits the plastic glass of odometer. You can try pushing the silver side cover to hit the mirror; you will hear the same sound. What you can do here is just push some rubber or small pieces of clothes inside the gap between mirror and silver side cover, the sound just disappears!
2.) Poor Quality Mirror Rubber, Change it with FREE!
About the poor mirror rubber problem, you can just drive to the service center to ask them change one new set for you, it is absolutely FREE if your car is still under warranty.
3.) Absorber too soft problem? Here is the solution.
For the rear absorber, I think you feel very bumpy, so you claim it's too soft. Actually Wira SE is using GAS based absorber, so it is a bit harder than the old Wira, which used oil-based absorber.
The purpose of Wira SE using Gas-based absorber is because its ability to balancing the car well when the car is in high speed during cornering. I can do a high speed cornering with good balance on my SE, but not on my friend's old version Wira. The key point is the absorber type. If you prefer a smooth driving will less bumpy feeling, you can change your absorber to oil-based. Then you will feel your car smooth enough.
4.) Still using Radio Cassette Player.
That is the great mistake that ever made by Wira development team!!! I'm also feeling disappointed on it, however, just change another player or you can add-up the CD changer on it.
