"The Old School Ride is Still Alive!"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Car has a cracked windshield.

Faulty fuel pump.

Engine has a slight miss and idle.

Car vibrates at higher speeds.

Brakes appear to need some work.

General comments?

This is a follow up review on this car from the previous one I wrote. I found out recently that the problem for car not running was a failed fuel pump and since has finally been repaired and the car is now running.

The repairs were done at shop that specializes in foreign and luxury car's and the repairs were very costly, but cheaper than the dealership.

These cars have great acceleration for being as heavy as they are and you can pass on the highway with ease, but these features come at a hefty price with the poor gas mileage you get in return. So far I am barely averaging around 15mpg in the City & around 20mpg on the highway at best, so I think a tune up must be needed or something.

This is the first Cadillac I have ever owned and the interior room and truck space are both great and the ride is smooth, but when I reach speeds over 65mph I get quite a bit of vibration in the steering well so either a wheel alignment or something is needed, of course places are trying to say it's something else to get more money out of me, but what do you expect when you drive car's these days, especially one's that have the Cadilliac, BMW, and Mercedes names on them. I cannot comment on the reliability since I have only been driving it a few weeks, but so far it has been doing well. The only other issue is the service engine soon light continues to come on and off at times and a complete engine diagnostic was done with no trouble codes so I am not sure what that is all about, if anyone with some real knowledge on these cars has any information please let me know.

I think you must have a problem with that low mileage, check engine light, and slight miss at idle. Get it checked out. Also, many people have gotten rid of the vibration problem with a new set of Michelin balanced at the dealer. Try to work out a deal with your local Cadillac dealer.

Not only that, but putting a set of Michelins on a '92 Caddy will immediately double the value of the car!

Could be a sensor, we did complete computer on our car and they said nothin wrong, have them check it out, probably an O2 sensor..
