Everything from a to z.
Engine overheated and the block cracked. (this was the end of the car)
Noises from gearbox when shifting 1st gear.
Steering problems.
And the list can continue.
For this kind of money, the car is very poor. My previous laguna dti (1999) was reliable, low cost running and more economical. This car (if I can call it car) is a piece of crap on wheels. When the engine cracked, they (the service I mean),wanted to repair it, but I told them to give me back my money. I sold my Laguna (still regret it) because it had 476000 km, but it was still running OK. I still regret it. I wanted something new, but...,anyway don't try citroen! Try something else.
476000 km in five years on your Laguna?
That's 298000 miles - or 60k a year. Did you run it on a treadmill or something?
That's really going some in a country with a 60mph speed limit.
I drive a lot because I need to travel from country to country. The laguna Helped me a lot. However I don't want to try the new generation of laguna. Or any french car again. Now I own a 2005 Honda Accord and it is far the best. Before the laguna I owned a Renault 25 from 1989 and I kept it till 1999 when I bought the Laguna. The 25 had 550000 Km. But I don't want a new french car, neither peugeot 407!
I think you should start using the airlines if you are really racking up this sort of mileage (kilometreage???)
I once owned a C5 on a 51 plate. it was 6 months old with 4,000 miles on the clock. This car was your worst nightmare. I brought it from a main dealer and returned it over a period of 15 months 27 times for different faults mainly electrical. In the end I had to sell the car as we could not go anywhere without fear of it breaking down. IT had 12,000 miles on the clock when I sold it!!!
Well, must say these comments wonders me a lot. Have been driving Opel Vectra 1,7 DT, 82 PS, 100.000 km, 93- 95',Pontiac Transport 2,3 16V, 136 PS, 130.000 km, 95'- 98' VW Passat 1,9 TDI, 115 PS, 90.000 km, 98'- 00', Skoda Octavia 1,9 TDI, 110 PS, 00'-03' and finally Citroen C5, 1,9 HDI, 110 PS, 125.000 km, 03'-06'. Wonder which car have seen the least of service? C5 for sure. The one and only problem was a rear doors window opening lock gone dead in the second year. (exchanged thought against warranty) I also find it to be the most comfortable of them all. Just sold it and got me a new C5 2.0 HDI, 136 PS and am very satisfied with the performances so far and am looking forward to enjoy it for 2 or 3 yrs! I'm coming from Slovenia where C's are quite popular since long time ago.
Funny thing, those reviews, aren't they?
I agree completely with the previous comment. Have C5 HDI 110bhp for 3 years now (it was 2 years old when purchased) and absolutely nothing went wrong with the car. Me and my family are delighted with our citroen. The clock is now on 170.000 km.
