"Great 4 seater"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

At 432 miles not much goes wrong, especially with a Ferrari.

General comments?

Many people say things like 'why would a person with a Ferrari write a review on a site like this?' or 'this is probably a fake'.

I've worked a lot for this car, now I just want to brag! Well now to business.

When I wanted a super car, I had a budget of around $250,000. Naturally, I went for a Murcielago. I have to say it felt like I was driving a tractor (since the founder of Lamborghini was a tractor manufacturer!)

So after selling that car, I went for this beauty.

All aluminum body.

First the performance, 0 to 60 in 4.1 seconds.

Top speed of almost 200 mph (199 to be exact)

This is a V12 6 liter 6 speed automatic monster!

The luxury is good for a Ferrari too,(in the F40 you had to pull a string to open the door!) a Bose sound system, CD changer, airbags, but the best thing is it can seat four adults! Yes, it has four seats and still goes to 60 in 4.1 seconds!

All in all I love this car, although many might opt for some other car, but I'll stick to my Ferrari. The 612 Scaglietti is a wonderful car

And finally thank you for reading my review! Please add some comments!(good ones!)

At least you didn't say it was "awesome" or a "head turner."

And you can even spell properly, so this review could be genuine.

Is there a long waiting list for this car, and do you just order from a catalog, with a choice of options, like normal cars, or is there some special process you go through, like getting the car fitted to you, and did you get offered the chance to visit the factory while it was being built?

I ask because I wonder if they have a demonstrator you are allowed to test drive, or if these cars are only built to order.

You like this car don't you? So, why wouldn't you buy another one? Why the frown face instead of the yellow smiley one?

Thank you for your comments, i appreciate it.

Firstly I chose 'no' for the option of would I buy another Ferrari by mistake, so sorry. I would buy another Ferrari any day if I had the money! And I'm not the kind of person who has truckloads of money, I really worked hard for my car.

Secondly the 612 does have a long waiting list like every Ferrari, the spider has a waiting of maybe 2 or 3 years if I recall correctly. The Maranello has a waiting of around 6 moths to a year.

Well this is NOT a normal car I assure you!You order it normally, and unfortunately it is not fitted to you, but it doesn't need to be fitted (its already great).

And finally, you do not get invited (sorry!)

Hope this helped!take care.

Brag. And you have every right, heck, why shouldn't you you obviously worked hard for The Car, and if I had a chance like that I would never shut up about it. Good Work.

It is good you're happy with your car, but how on earth can you say that driving a Murcielago is like driving a tractor? I happen to own one, and a day at B. Hatch proved that it is one of the best cars around to race around a track. If you'd taken the time to get to know your Lambo and adjust to it's fearsome character, you'd appreciate it as I do with mine. But yes, the 612 is a brilliant car, I'll admit that.

The 612 is at the tip-top of my 'dream car' list.

I'm currently starting with my newly-purchased Porsche 968 coupe, which I am blissfully in love with. Next on the list are a 968 turbo, an NSX, RX7 gen 3, and 928GTS.

A 456GT or better yet, a 612 Scaglietti, is at the top though. Nothing like 'stupid-silly-fast Ferrari' combined with 'hey honey, let's take the kids on a ski trip'. I think it's a great blend of responsible adult and uncontrollable 8-year-old. :)

I've seen 456's in my area for around 80K... not so bad.

It is totally inconceivable to work on these cars oneself? I really enjoy working on my cars, very therapeutic.

Cheers.

Although I may have the information incorrect, I have heard that the engine in these cars has to be lifted out of the car to do even simple maintenance like oil changes and such. Thus you would have to have a lot of equipment in your own garage to accomplish such a task.

Well the good news is that, by the time I have the resources together for a 456/612, I will also have a killer garage setup.

We'll see what develops...

This is the best review I've read on this site. This is obviously so real.

An automatic Ferrari?

Yes, an automatic Ferrari! The transmission in these can either be selected to a fully automatic or, at the push of a button, have it be a manual with paddle shifters on the wheel.

Well, I'm happy you got one! I saw one driving down I-5 just a week ago! I wonder if it was you??? What color is yours? This one was BLACK. I guess it couldn't have been you because I passed this guy by in a flash in my 4 seat, 5 speed GT4. Now, I may be eccentric, but I'm trying to buy 10 of this model... LOL... And, I will pay less for 10 than you paid for one Scaglietti. FYI... The DINO 308GT4 was built in SCAGLIETTI! And, Enzo had a had in it's design... They've got a little 3 litre, 16v V-8... But, they are amazingly easy to work on, all things considered. Sure, if a belt breaks, it's curtains for the engine... However, in 1979, the belts were fragile. Technology now has them with Kevlar and they seem to hold up like those on a Toyota... Incidently, the brakes are 1/2 the price of a new Corolla... I've got almost 60K miles on mine and it runs like new, doesn't smoke, has great oil pressure, doesn't leak a drop and is a kick. So, poor people... There are Ferraris for you too...LOL!

What a beautiful piece of engineering that car is, I saw it review on top gear earlier this yr, and was very impressed with it! I love the fact that it's a four seater car, sure I love 2 seater Ferrari's, but being able to carry another mate with you and leave the club with two other ladies, is not so bad either :)! Good review mate!

I hope my next car will be a 612 but my budget isn't up to the $225K needed. So I'll just have to wait for divine intervention or depreciation to bring me together with such a fine Ferrari!
