"Great looker, good fun... but too many problems"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Hi there everyone. I am a proud owner of a Citroen c2 gt... but only just. this car has given me so many problems you wouldn't believe me (unless you own a c2 yourself). firstly the rear brakes made a very strange noise when driving at low speeds, especially in reverse. it took several looks at the car from my dealer to solve this problem, but they eventually got there in the end.

Then one day after washing the car I had noticed the boot was like a swimming pool, it was full of water, the worst was on the left hand side. after two attempts my local dealer got this problem solved.

But I'm not finished there, my horn has went 3 times, the car has only just turned 1 year old, the horn is hardly ever used, so why does it decide not to work after a time?? I don't know if there are linked, but all 3 times I have noticed the horn has stopped working after washing it, don't know if they are related.

Also one final point (for just now), I went to take the alloys off to clean them, now I went around each wheel one by one and all the locking wheel nuts broke before they started to turn (when I turned the locking wheel nut the attachment just kept slipping) which resulted in me having to pay my local dealer to drill them all out. now is it just me, but its obvious the four locking wheel nuts have been faulty that they all did they same. I've tryed to contact Citroen by post, but they don't like the idea of responding.

General comments?

Beautiful little car to look at, potential to do lots of mods, could be a real head-turner, but this car does give you problems, just read all comments, I'm not the only one.

Fun to drive, don't let me put anyone off one. just a personal opinion here people.

I agree that contacting Citroen seems to be quite hard. I have been promised call backs for weeks about my C2 and all its problems and the fact that I have paid for functionality that they cannot provide, but I have not heard from them. I have learned to accept that you do not get British or German quality from a french car, but why should you not expect the same level of service.
