"Nice nice and nice"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

It's a great car, unless a Renault Clio car.

General comments?

I love Nissan brand, but I never seen something like a Platina... (made in Mex; of course). I have seen the Renault Clio and I don´t like it.

I looked the page: www.nissan.cz and I take me a sorprise... our Nissan Platina are called Renault Thalia... Whats the matter???... well I know that Platina are Renault Clio in meny countries, but... the name Thalia... is so bad. Because Thalia is a mexican singer. Simply... I don´t like the name, I really like my Platina.

As a Renault Thalia owner, I would just like to clarify some facts about this name. Nissan Platina is indeed a 4-door, sedan, version of a Renault Clio. This car was designed by Renault and is mostly marketed in Eastern Europe. Its name, "Thalia", is actually in line with "Clio". In a Greek mythology, Clio is one of the nine muses, a muse of history. Thalia is also one of the nine muses, a muse of comedy (perhaps, this was not the most convenient name after all). To add even more confusion, in some markets, this car is named Renault Symbol or simply Renault Clio sedan, which is, perhaps, the most accurate name. Under the Renault-Nissan alliance, these cars are manufactured and sold in Mexico, under the Nissan badge, and are named Platina, not Thalia, probably to avoid any references to a popular Mexican singer, just as You experienced.

Best wishes to You and I hope that You will be satisfied with your Platina as much as I am satisfied with my Thalia.
