Transmission blew at 55000 Miles!
I was Irate! The Transmision should last at least a 120,000 Miles. I got this truck from my grandpa, I wouldn't actually have bought it myself. It does well off-road and the suspension is awesome, but it totally and completely unreliable. Driver returns on foot is right. It sounds like you both didn't finish the review and hit something to cut a transmission line or the pan. That's probably how all the transmission fluid leaked out, unless a line or seal burst, and I never heard of that ever happening before on a Ranger from people I've know who owned them. Maybe that road wasn't too gentle after all or you were truly in a lemon instead of a GM truck or a Jeep.
