Starter problems, needed a new housing core and plunger.
Also got into an accident and replaced the whole front end.
Faster acceleration than you would think. Good price too.
The ES250 is a fine used automobile buy today. It rides and performs better than most vehicles that are new today. I compared it to a 2000 model Toyota Camry V6 and it performs just as good or better. And for a fraction of a new Camry, the ES250 is a steal. Also not to mention the options that the ES250 comes equipped with.
The only setback the ES250 has is the poor gas mileage in city driving > 15 mpg (average). On highways, it can get up to 25 mpg.
I own a 1990 ES 250. It's a great car. I have had some trouble with it but that is to be expected of an 11 year old car.
I think the car rides nicely and is undoubtedly great for a first car. I had a wreck in mine and I felt safe. I wasn't hurt and the car waan't very badly damaged.
The Lexus ES250 is a great car and I wouldn't want anything else unless someone gave me a new Lexus.
