"Owning a Chrysler product is the best reason to buy a Toyota!"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

These things have failed SO FAR: Water pump, transmission cooling lines, air emissions pump, head gaskets, timing belt tensioner, steering rack, A/C condensor, A/C electronics, antilock ABS braking controller, fuel pump, fuel hoses, power antenna, ventilation motors, suspension snubbers have fallen off and brake rotors warp. Various driveline fluid leaks. Numerous water/air leaks, body creaks.

3 recalls: Fuel injector rail leaks (failed), suspension cracking, driver's seat frame failures.

The engine pulleys tend to throw belts.

The wipers float an inch above the windshield at 70 mph.

The headlamps have poor seals allowing condensation to occur and have dim illumination.

The car has a lot of road noise at speed.

The trunk and doors do not stay open on inclines and may close on arms, heads or legs.

Other owners are reporting structural and frame failures as well as transmission failures.

Some of these cars have caught fire.

General comments?

What a HORROR to own! A joy to ride in, look at and to drive - but the ownership experience is a true nightmare. Thousands of dollars have been spent on this car just to keep it on the road.

Unfortunately, this car seems to be representative of a lot of Chrysler's products. They seem to have a very high number of problems.

It may be a car (or car line) for the very rich, the very mechanically inclined or the very insane.

I totally agree. I have replaced the motor, (bearings went at 70,000).

Transmission was rebuilt at 40,000 and just failed again at 121,000.

Waterpumps, timing belts, and total A/C replacement have led to more cost than I care to add up at this point.

The suspension is shot.

The car looks great but I wouldn't sell it to anyone I know.

Ever heard of something called a lemon???

I own a 94 Vision TSi and it is problem free with 96,000 miles. Go buy a Toyota and continue to be ignorant over ONE bad experience.

My Eagle vision (TSI) is the best thing on the road! Power performance and luxury are just a few of the amenities I enjoy. Chrysler hit a grand slam when they made this car. It gets driven very hard every day and still comes back for more. The transmission fluid has never been changed (64000 miles) and all driving is stop and go city.

You must have gotten a lemon. I own a 95 Vision and the only major problems have been the air conditioner (of course) and the transmission was rebuilt at 110,000. I have 140,000 on it now and it runs like a dream!

I own a 1994 Eagle Vision ESI and have had nothing but problems from the start. Should have taken it back right away for a full refund. I have replaced almost everything possible and even some things you wouldn't even know needed to be fixed. The transmission went at 23,000. miles, O2 sensors, twice, radiators, transmission lines, BCM modules, get the picture. Would I recommend a Chrysler product to anyone? Lets just say my experience was not a good one. My new car, a Saturn.

I have an Eagle Vision with 245,000 miles on it. I love this car.

Sure I have put some money into it, but it's a car.

Cars break, that's nothing new.

I've had mine since it was new, what a car. I also had the transmission go out, but it was replaced under warranty. Other than that I would recommend this car to anyone. I also have 148,000 miles.

I bought a 1994 Eagle Vision new in 1994 and have 113740 miles on it. Replaced the AC compressor. Replaced the Timing belt and water pump at 100000 miles only as a precaution. Car looks good and runs good. All power options work perfectly.

Lemons must have been made in Canada. Mine is still used to tow Sailboat.

Will sell mine to those owners with the 'lemons'

I am the second owner of my 1994 Eagle Vision ESI (bought t from my father-in-law). Always was well maintained and has 190K miles on it. The drive gear just went out, Low and 3rd still work. It has been an awesome vehicle... guess it depends on where it's made and how well it was taken care of.

I bought my 1994 Eagle Vision TSI new in 1995, and it has been a problem. The transmission went out at about 25,000 miles, the ventilation system does not work properly, I've replaced the water pump and timing belt 3 or 4 times, the electric seats and windows are showing signs of going out, and the car only has 135,000 miles on it. I have maintained it very well. I, too, would not sell this thing to a friend or family member.

I own a 94 Eagle Vision. It has been good to me so far after the abuse it took from two owners before me who never even took it in for a tune up, or so I've been told.

I've only replaced a few odds and ends like the battery, radiator cap, fuel filter, ac belt.

It has 185,000 miles on it, and so far it only has a small transmission leak.

I own a 1994 Eagle ESI, it started out with small problems, which lead to some electrical issues, timing belt replacement, I replaced the sturts, only for the whole housing that holds the strut to break off from the car, and now I sit with a broken down car in my driveway, with what I suspect needs a fuel pump. I bought the car in 2003 for $1700, I've probably put in about $4000+, in repairs. As far as the seats, I thought that my friend had broken it, my windows come down about an inch per minute. I agree about the suspension, it sucks, it feels like I am on a roller coaster riding in this car.

The car is OK for local driving, but I wouldn't dare buy this car if I had to drive over 50 miles a day!!

I have a 1994 Eagle Vision, and it's been highly dependable and very low maintenance. I love the driving experience, comfort level and ergonomics.

The only serious issue that's come up is a possible BCM problem, where the instrument panel indicators (speedo, gauges etc) have all gone dead.

The A/C has also stopped working (apparent coolant leak), but that often happens with older cars. I may have it looked into later, but I personally don't tend to use A/C much even when it works.

Some individual cars are lemons, others aren't. The first few years of LH cars seemed to have a large share of lemons, but this seems to have been shaken out pretty well after that.

I guess I got pretty lucky with my LH car, but I guess some others were less fortunate.

I do plan to keep mine on the road as long as possible.

I own a 1994 eagle vision tsi. I don't know how many owners had it before me, but the previous owner was a teenager who ran this poor car into the ground. so far I've had to fix the ac, the timing belt and the car has no heat in it, so I basically freeze my you know what off in winter. now another problem just sprang up this last 2 weeks. everyone says its the spark plugs, fuel pump (most likely is), idle speed sensor or the fuel line. I bought this car for $1k and have put the same amount in it for repairs. if I could afford another car I would already have one. this one was given to me by someone who went out and bought it. I feel sorry for it being run into the ground like it has. it has a 169k miles on it too. I know stuff breaks down as it gets old, but why can't it be something that doesn't cost an arm and a leg to fix it?
