Suspension shimmy at 60 mph. I still have not found a solution to my suspension shimmy at 60 mph. No one can figure out what is wrong with my car. I have re-rubbered my car, re-aligned, re-balanced, and had several garages look it over.
I am told that is it is a suspension - or drive train issue, but noone can pin-point it. I hear some caravan have had early sta-bar failures - but checked that too.
Anyone else find the same thing? - help.
Yes, I also have a 2002 Dodge Intrepid with the same exact problem. I had original thought they sold me maybe a used car that had been wrecked. It is driving me nuts to the point where I don't want the car anymore.
The only thing I can think of is the brake rotors. If they are warped they can cause a slight highway shimmy. Our Voyager had the same issue until the brakes got replaced - including new rotors...
I have a 2002 intrepid 3.7 with the same problem let me know if the rotors fixed the problem garyjarrett8659@sbcglobal.net.
