I heard Proton is not gonna manufacture WIRA any more... and they are gonna concentrate on Gen2 now. Don't know how true it is and wanna know if other people also heard so and if yes then whats the future of Proton Wira going to be for those who own it at the moment?
Same as above.
Yes, Proton has discontinued the Wira saloon.
Wira is one of the best and underrated cars around. It never breaks down and goes on and on, rain, shine or in the snow. Well done proton. It is also related to the Mitsu evo 2.
I bought a 2006 proton Wira car in Egypt 3days ago... I am happy of it, good understructure, good motor, very very soft driving, but I am afraid of the spare parts and its availability
Anyone can answer me please
Thank u.
Don't worry guys there are still plenty of Wira cars around in Malaysia and loads of spare parts to be found... Proton is still producing Wira's with a face lift, but only for aeroback and no more saloon...
Hi. I am Eric.
Yup! Agree with the guy above my comments. Proton will never obsolete the Wira since it's still the most profitable model of Proton right now.
Why the chairman claimed wants to obsolete it is because the sales of Gen.2 are not as expected. So, that's why they pull out some topic like this.
Anyway, Wira spare parts are every where in Malaysia. Don't worry, you can put in a Mitsubishi Evo Lancer MIVEC engine into a Wira too if you think you want more power! It just matches.
You bought a Wira in Egypt! Uhm... I can say, the export Wira has tight quality check out and that's why you got a good condition Wira. Buying a Wira in Malaysia is really depends on LUCK! Someone gets the good one, someone get heart attack when they got theirs. Haha...
Anyway, please take a look on what have I done with my Wira SE Manual in this video. Copy below link and go check it out! Free to give comments!

Dear Eric.. there is no need to boost around with your modified Wira..we're talking about stalk standard proton wira cars over here... you can add whatever mitsubishi stuff into your car and stick a "Mitsubishi EVO" batch all around your car, but bad quality means bad... no car makers produce cars for you to modify it to look it back like your grandfathers car.
Hi, I am a Mitsubishi parts dealer in the Philippines and I am looking for alternative parts for Mitsubishi vehicles. We already use Proton Servo repair kit for the lancer servo kits. Can anybody help me in looking for a supplier for my parts requirements for Mitsubishi? Help please. My email address is eldosmb@yahoo.com.ph thank you very much.
