1989 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme SL from North America - Comments

"If I could still buy this car brand new, I would do it all over again!"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Dash design flaw; dash curls and buckles with minimum exposure to sun and heat, replaced twice during first 36 months.

General comments?

Over all excellent vehicle, if I had realized how dependable, economical and comfortable this car would be for me I would have bought a matched pair.

I am a serious motor head and though this car isn't in the same class as the many muscle cars I've owned over the years, for a 6 cyl it is quick and responsive which is note worthy considering the body size and weight.

I am surprised at how often I see these Cutlasses on the road and for sale (often with over 300k kms). They seem to last a long time. And don't seem to rust too bad, even in salty Ontario.

They don't rust too badly because they are made out of 2 sided galvinized steel.
