Car was taken back to garage after the 5th time in less than 3000 miles. The car was overheating and losing water. Turns out the car's cylinder head gasket was gone causing the water loss and rough idle. All in all the car is a disaster! Wish I hadn't sold my previous car.

2003 Nissan Primera - Head Gasket blown - £700 to replace, I thought Nissan cars were reliable!

2003 Nissan Almera - previous car - gearbox self destructed, £800 job, that's why I changed it for the above car.

2001 Nissan Almera - previous to that - timing chain slipped which cost me £400 to fix - then changed to above car.

All in all 3 Nissan's 3 major faults - now going down as the least reliable manufacturer.

NISSAN - TO TRANSLATE = UNRELIABILITY

WHAT HAS GONE WRONG WITH NISSAN?

I have a Primera SVE 2005.

I can't open the back windows with the front windows closed, with the noise coming from the car

Also 2 new clutches put in over the last 6 weeks. The last time it was done nuts were missing; it's going back in the garage this Wednesday to look at the clutch again.

My 2002 2.0SE is also losing water/over-heating, so no surprise when they tell me it will need a new head gasket!

Gearbox had to be rebuilt after 30,000 miles - just under warranty.

Oh dear - I'm off to Honda/Mazda or similar.
