2002 Honda Accord LX from North America - Comments

At 46000 miles the transmission has gone out and needs replacing.

Up until this point I was satisfied with the car's performance. It has a smooth ride and handles well in the snow.

I used to be a big fan of Honda in the Nineties.

It seems that the newer Hondas made since 2000 have gone downhill in quality. The biggest problems seem to be automatic transmissions that self desctuct and the manual ones have problems too. Fragile Cylinder Heads, Blown Gaskets, Poor Ride are also problems with post 2000 Hondas. Adding insult to injury Hondas are over priced and over hyped. And am I the only one who is tired of seeing modified civics with noisy coffee can mufflers and lowered to the point where they bottom out going over a small bump in the road. I could go on, but you get the point...
