Front brake callipers (front brake pads were wearing unevenly).

Ignition switch tumbler.
Normal 100K+ stuff including: alternator, CV boots, hoses & belts (Arizona heat)and hood supports.
Overall this has been a great car for us so far. The only real complaints I have are that the automatic transmission shutters at 30mph if you are just lightly accelerating (I think it may be a design flaw because it feels like something reasonates as this speed only).
The other complaint is the engine is packed in there so tight that it can be very difficult to replace parts.
I agree with the shuddering comment - but other than that, so far a fab car!
My 1990 Acura also shutters at about 30 MPH. I was wondering if it is caused by the torque converter lock-out.
The lock-out cuts in and out while driving at highway speed. It feels as though the automatic transmission is shifting - but the tachometer shows no engine speed change. Any comments on this?
I think you may be right.
I just purchased a 1990 Acura Legend and I'm afraid I got a death trap! The car I have has been babied, but I'm nervous about the comments I've read!
I have had my 1990 Acura Legend since 1994, it currently has 204,000 miles and is now driven by my daughter. Best vehicle I have ever owned. I recently took it on a 700 mile road trip and it rode and performed like a dream. Keep the fluids fresh and it will last forever. I found seats for it at a junkyard that were like new for 150.00, replaced the carpet for 400.00 and it looks like new. The paint and body trim are all original and in near perfect condition. I now drive a 2001 Acura 3.2 CL Coupe and love it. I have not experienced any rust and I believe the transmission shudder is common in these vehicles. Far superior vehicle to anything Detroit has ever manufactured. In my opinion, the body style is classic and the car doesn't look dated at all.
I have an 89 Legends ls, and I had that same problem with the shuddering. I took it to a mechanic and found out that that is simply the heat shield resonating and there is nothing wrong with it.
My father recently purchased a 1990 Legend LS as a graduation gift for me, and that car has done nothing but wonders for me. It's a manual 5 speed transmission and gives performance on demand. I'm truly happy with my car.
