"A comfortable, safe, economical car, good value for money"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

None. The only problem I've got is that when I open the boot the parcel shelf gets detached out of place and the dealer is going to set the rear seat and solve the problem under warranty.

General comments?

It is a very comfortable car, rides well and handles well although steering is too light at slow speeds and is a bit slow to react from a corner to another. Because the Megane is a car set up in comfort in mind. Perhaps it's not rewarding to drive as a focus, but it's really safe and as speed increases the steering becomes firm and the car rides better and on our 'moon terrain' roads its smooth and stable. It has a light clutch and smooth gear change. Refinement is also good and its' quality materials and soft suspension gives a very smooth ride and soft damping. It's also spacious and very practical and build quality is very good, economy is really impressive more than 65 miles per gallon on the combined cycle. The engine is smooth and strong. And finally it is the safest car in its class, well done Renault.

65 miles per gallon?? Are you sure?? What is the average speed you are doing to achieve this result??

In Malta the speed limit is 80km/hour. Because of hour small roads U can't drive more than 70km/hour. The megane 1.5dci ltr engine with 106 bhp returns about 65mpg for shure. with out the ac on. with the ac on it returns between 45mpg to 50mpg.

But even if you press it hard and reach 140km on the speedo it remains economical.
