When First bought, there was no bumper. Had to go to junk yard to put on a substitue cylinder iron tube one. dash lights were not working... could have been from accidental tinkering with the wires from the Clarion stereo that was put in it... also resulting in maybe a shortage or bad connection with blinker lights.
Blinker lights don't work correctly most of the time. Idles high at start up, and for a while after that. Then the idle goes down. Drones on right turns. That's about it. For 500 bucks, Everything else is great!
The truck is very nimble on turns, shifts perfectly- very smooth. Sleek designing, a beefy look to it also is very nice. A few more ponies under the hood though would have been a little better, but is peppy enough for me. The truck is a true gas mizer also, getting me around 24-27 miles to the gallon. But being the weakest truck in its class at 85 horses with a 2.2 liter, it sacrifices power. Cabin is plain and simple, easy to read controls. No cupholders though... kind of a dissapointment. The orange dash lights give it a racing theme. I like the rough suspension also.
Umm the thing is the ford ranger 2x4 and the mazda 2x4 are the same, only diffrence is the badge on them and the grille. and I think ford threw the 2.3 into the truck.
