Glove box latch needed replaced.
Rocker cover gasket leaks.
Engine mounts are shot.
Jumps in gear when coming to stop.
Violently shuddered and auto gearbox warning on display appeared.
This is a very nice, comfortable car in general.
Reliability has me shaken as I have had the car less than a month and it is worn.
Auto gear box concerns me the most, dealer is checking it out.
Very roomy, handles very well for such a large car.
Engine is dog meat. 2.0 just doesn't cut it on a large car.
My Vauxhall omega 2.0 automatic is stuck in forward gear and auto gearbox check displayed on panelplus does not go into top gear. Any ideas?
If the auto gearbox display is showing "check auto gearbox", you should have the dealer service it. They can do a diagnostic test on it to see where they fault lies. It may be an electrical fault rather than mechanical. That was the case on my Omega, the engine RPM sensor was malfunctioning, so they replaced that and then cleared the fault codes from the car computer. Now it runs much better, although sometimes it skips when shifting from 2nd to 3rd gear.
My glove box latch snapped off as well, i now have to insert a digit and push the mechanism manually.
This can be annoying when trying to get you're documents out after being stopped by the Plod.
Which WILL happen with this fast cruising V6 if you don't pay attention to the speedo.
