2005 Skoda Fabia Elegance Estate from UK and Ireland - Comments

"First Class"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

None to date.

General comments?

First brand new car I have purchased.

Huge boot for size of the car.

Interior a bit bland, but solid and feels like bmw's used to - functional, no frills, easy to use, does the job well.

1.9tdi (100 bhp) engine is rapid to say the least. Mid range grunt on the motorway is fab. Only time you can tell it's an oil burner is on start up!

Brakes are spot on and do the job well on the motorway.

To date I have averaged 52mpg over a range of motorways, country roads and town driving - can't complain at that.

Better equiped than my old mans one series beemer - heated seats a bonus at the moment. Elegance has fogs, alloys, air con, cd player, remote central locking, heated seats, parking sensors, cruise control etc all I added was a disc changer and the sunroof.

Only minor winge I have about the exterior is that the door handles are not body coloured, but guess you can't have it all and they are not that bad.

Only niggle was the 14 weeks I waited for the car due to a sunroof being fitted.

3 years aa cover as standard is brilliant.

All in all first rate car and will certainly buy another.

Sorry to hear that you had to wait 14 weeks for your car. My Fabia RS (with only minor options such as, electric rear-view mirrors and aluminium spare wheel) came in brand new from the factory in three weeks!
