1.the cars automatic locks would not work so they had to replace it... 2. the cars oil light stays on all the time and I know that there is oil in it.
3. the weather strip around the doors were peeling and had to be replaced.
4. the car continously doesn't start for me, I have had 2 rental cars in 1 1/2 months and I have only had the car for 2 months.
5. When I drive the car sometimes it feels like it is going to stall and I have to accelerate before it dies and sometimes it does die and I press gas and it picks and up agian.
6. when I drive I always hear a squeeking, but that may just be all cars that are older with an higher mileage.
The best thing about this car is the size, especially if you have a family.
The car drives smooth when it drives right.
I think that the car is very comfortable and I definetly enjoy that,
Um SELL IT!!! this is only the begining your oil light is on cause you have sludge along with the trillion other intrepid owners.
Run and don't walk away from that car. The oil light was the beginning of the end for my '99 Intrepid. 57,560 miles and I had to buy a new engine and that was just the start. Don't waste any time or money on this car.
2000 Dodge Intrepid--The worst car we ever bought. We have 3 friends that had them too and all blew the engines, including mine. We had to leave it parked in the yard and keep paying on it and could not drive it. One of our friends had to have her engine replaced twice and luckily her's was under warranty both times. That 2.7 liter engine is a waste. We were finally able to trade it in on a new ford expedition which we love. Linda P.
