Absolutely nothing, as a matter of fact this car is so reliable it is quite amazing!!!
A tremendous sports car with a great engine, I mean the engine is so wonderful. I have the 2.0 litre 280 bhp engine, this engine allows this car... er... bullet.. to actually launch to 0-100km (62miles) in only 4.8 seconds!!!
Grip is out of this world... I bet that this car's skidpad is not less than 1G!!! It really sticks to the ground and stays there!!!
All in all... a great car!!!
This car kicks the ass of every sports car in the USA. It's a tricky Japanese army weapon.
The Lancer is the best thing that has happened to the sports car world.
I love the Lancer, but it is unfortunate that Canada is not blessed with it.
It isn't available in Canada YET---IT is coming to the US, so I am sure you will get it too. Then I can kick the crap out of my was-favorite-car-til-I-saw-this-one...the WRX.
Shaun.
Mitsubishi dealerships are coming to Canada in 2002, the Lancer will be available to us in 2003. The lancer is seriously a kick-ass car. Can't wait till I see people roaming around with this around my area.
Any American sports car could kick the Evo's ass!
American sports cars? Go and check out the British made Noble M12 GTO then you'll know what a real sports car is!
The Mitsubishi Evolutions and Subarus are serious 4-wheel drive automobiles which have been winning World Rally Championships for years. American cars were and are still NOT designed with the demands of rally racing as parameters. United States sports cars are not made using the same philosophy, therefore, there is no argument. These amazing Japanese machines produce 300 horsepower from a two liter engine, then transfer all that power through three differentials to four driving wheels. And we're referring to cars that are daily drivers which have been running 0-60 times in the 4-5 second bracket for the past 8 years without breaking. America sends the 7th fleet to get that kind of power.

WRX ? what you talkin about.. also this is fake..
Yeah sure the 2000 noble gto is nice, but its barely faster than the lancer evo 8/2003 lancer evolution the nobles 0-60 time 4.1 the lancers 4.8 nobles top speed 165 mph lancers top speed 155 so how can you say that the noble is a true sports car oh and american cars aren't very good either they have to have bigger engines for more power like the mustang 4.7 ltrs 400 horses the lancer 2.0 ltrs 271 horses.
I haven't driven either an EVO 6 or a Noble (nearest I have been is a Subaru RB5), but I'm sure that any of us 'mortals' would be very happy to own either of them. I am however a member of the Mitsubishi Lancer register & do plan to swap my current Honda Integra Type-R for either a Tommi Makinen 6.5 EVO or an EVO 7. I too have read many road tests (& seen tests on TV) about the fact that although quick, the US cars don't handle very well - & this is one of the REASONS that the EVO cars exist to be the masters of (AYC on EVO 4 - 6 & Super AYC on EVO8). Long live the ultra reliable, mega fast & super sticky EVOs :)
Horsepower isn't everything that's needed to out accelerate any other car. American car companies are just understanding this paradigm. There is factors such as: efficient delivery of power to the wheels (no tire spinning allowed here), grip, stability, body rigidity, aerodynamic drag, shaft spinning mass... etc. This is why a 400Hp Mustang has trouble fighting off an EVO. And so, Mustangs are good sports cars, but not as refined as EVOs, and performance is all about refinement not brute force.
Yes indeed... long live refined engineering! and long live the EVOLUTIONS.
The Evolution 6? well what can I say? I have been in an evo 6 and let me tell this peace of machine flies. it sticks to the ground like a magnet. before I knew it we were at 160kmh. it was breath taking. very good ride.
The Noble is also a seriously fast car, and will out perform an EVO. But I still prefer the EVO for its in-your-face looks.
An EVO is very quick at accelerating from standstill, yet the Noble is good at this and extremely quick when accelerating through the gears.
Most US sports cars are too hevy to compete with the Noble and EVO, and that is why they have high BHP.
This is true, but it is too bad that the US cannot compete with Japan. I would really like to see and American rally car I think evreyone would be suprised.
It's been a while since an American car could even challenge at Pikes Peak Colorado. I think a Celica still holds the record since 94. Jap cars are engineered amazingly.
