"Classy yet cool"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Nothing as yet!

General comments?

I passed my driving test in June 2005 and inherited my parent's old 1999 VW Polo runabout which as they both have their own cars it was hardly used so only had 30,000 on clock in 6 years. In November I was fortunate enough to be bought a brand-new facelifted 2005 VW Polo SE in gleaming black, I absolutely love this car, the quality is better than that of any similar supermini and it is incredibly fun to drive, so much for the staid VW driving experience of the past. The quality of the materials and the almost silent petrol engine, it's so fun to put your foot down just to hear a little raaawww! out of the car. I love the Polo's image, I'm in upper Sixth-Form and it certainly stands out from the 106s, Fiestas and Corsas in the student car park, the VW badge holds so much quality and respect I simply adore my car and will keep it for years to come.

I rented a new VW Polo in July last year 2005 for two weeks on holiday in Cyprus for the price £169. A tank of petrol cost me £30 and lasted and lasted for miles.

Looks good for a small car alloy wheels improves its looks when I have seen them on other Polo.

Engine was a 1.2E, the engine revs well to 6000rpm it lack torque however and will slow down on steep hills so third gear was needed. I have found it good on the motorway and country road driving. Handling I found first class.

The size as super mini is deceptive at nearly 6' 1" and 17 stone I had plenty of room and comfort it can easily fit 4 full sized adults in to it the book is a good size too.

Build quality was good as no creaking noises were heard no shaking panels. Everything sounded solid and doors closed with a clunk so it is very good quality. It was quite pleasant to be inside. The car had power steering tinted windows electric.
