Wipers when switched off stay in the upright position, no explanation. I see quite a few vans with this problem. Dealer claims 'first they have heard of it' AC comp need changing/leaking at 80,000, manifolds need changing 60,000
gaskets leak in warm temp.
Comfortable vehicle, disappointed with mechanical problems. Had a Venture before, and a pontiac before that no problems. Won't buy a Montana ever again.
My 2000 Montana has the same wiper problem. There are stretches of time when it always stops in the upright position and other times when it stops upright 50% of the time. I also had a leaking head gasket after 45-50K miles that cost $800 to repair. My one addition is that the power window (the express speed option that cost $100 more) will not roll up on the front end of the window. This means for the extra $100 I now have to open the door instead of rolling down the window until I can justify getting it fixed. But I do like the van and would probably buy another one.
