2004 MG ZT 190+ from UK and Ireland - Comments

"One of the most accomplished sports saloons ever made"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Encountered problems with the boot release when the weather is cold, but other than that trouble free.

General comments?

A superb car, comfortable and (very) fast - can be a bit thirsty.

Stunning looks complemented by plenty of grunt and terrific handling (for such a big car).

Tyres for the 18 inch rims can be expensive - shop around!

I bought my MG ZT160+ a year ago with a lot of warnings ringing in my ears, but it's the best car I've ever owned. Looks great, sounds good and comes with plenty of toys without being tacky. It's a heavy car and won't be first away at the lights, it needs high revs to perform well and loves the motorway. The ride is firm, steering is precise, and it handles well for a big car.

What's gone wrong? Very little apart from fuel pump coming apart, resulting in complete shut down (confusing diagnostic computer - watch this!) It's hard on tyres, expensive with 18 inch rims - shop around. Also watch coolant levels.

One year on I'm still getting a kick out of the car, for the price I've got a lot of "bang for my buck"
