People say there is not much driving space in the saxo, and that the pedals are too close together, I have to say I'm 6ft 4inches and have size 13 feet, and I can drive it no problem.
Standard exhaust rusted very quickly.
Too many people have one.
This car is a quick little run-a-round, decent as standard and easily modified into a little beast. If your planning on lowering any saxo, make sure you get it done properly, otherwise your gonna end up with creaks and squeaks everywhere. If you do decide to lower it, its like a go-kart you can throw 'em round corners and believe me they will stick, I can go round the island at the bottom of my street doin just over 60 and its awesome. the thing that makes this car so rapid is its weight it weighs 990pounds standard (less than a tonne). They are easily modified into flying machines and if modded correctly, will rinse some cars you wouldn't dream of racing. Mods I've done to mine are:
Piper Cams
Pipercross induction kit
ECU Superchip
Powerflow exhaust full system
Sports manifold
and my favourite mod so far by a mile is my Supercharger, it not only makes the car a 200bhp go-kart it sounds like a dream when its screamin its boll*cks off.
OK!!! No offence, but if your car is pushing 200bhp and no mention of an Head gasket change or other essential engine upgrades then I BELIEVE this is just another BOY RACER shouting off. I came to read real reviews, from people who don't day dream!! I drive an 106 GTi (VTS is the same car practically) and have got my car pushing 145bhp and the first thing I was told by Pug performance is if you want your engine to survive, then you must upgrade the head gasket and internals! What about the gearbox and clutch, everyone who owns a VTS/106GTi will tell you the clutch and box wouldn't cope with 200 horses!!! Fantastic cars though!!! I just make up excuses to go and drive mine!!!
So what if he is a boy racer shouting off. This site is for telling people about their cars and that's what hes doing. Although I do agree that some upgrades would be needed.
My girlfriends got a metro 1.6 gsi, and it beats my vts handsdown. its quite embarrasing really.
