Seats have started to wear badly,
shocks become noise at rough road, ceiling looks bad.
This car nice and quiet however when I'm on the rough road I'm worried with my shocks and brake pads and seat are uncomfortable.
We still have our 1993 model Lancer Gli, you're correct that there are unruly clunks from the suspension maybe it is already damage because of ageing may I suggest you to replace that suspension with new ones to eliminate the noise.. Hope thus can help.
I have a 1994 EL and the clunking sound came from the bushings at the front. Have them replaced. You will surely notice the difference.
Mine also have problem with the ceiling, but I still say its engine is still in good condition.
