1) Air condition automatically cut off while on prolong traffic jam.
Here are my sincere comments :
1) Excellent pickup power, good for over taking.
2) good cornering and stability,
3) low vibration while driving on rough road
4) unbelievable low fuel consumption.
5) Good for ladies, make parking easy.
Actually the cars is good enough to transport, but they have some problems here. There are aircond noise when drive about a years.
The second is the car cannot reach 185km/h when gas is press at all.
The third is the noise will come when I drive about 140km/h. The noisy wind noise will come to the cars.
The forth is the sport rims is not enough wider than BMW. This causes instability of the cars.
The fifth is the stabiliser bars is not lasting. When drive about a years, the cars have the sound come from stabiliser bar. This can compare to Toyota Camry, low noise and no problems at all.
After owned a VIOS (for my wife) for 2 years, I love Toyota car than any other cars. Now, I've just bought an Altis 1.8L. Great car! Good power and pickup!
I have friends who still driving very old CORONA Toyota 2.0L. The car is still very reliable and stable, that shows Toyota car is really great value for money.
Welcome to the Toyota club!
KL...SY.
To be honest, VIOS is a good city-ride car. But, I would not recommend for long distance travel. If you can afford, then go for Altis or Camry for long distance travel.
I had drove VIOS from KL to Penang, it is as tiring as my old Wira. After I bought a new Altis 1.8L, driving from Penang to Malaka is really comfortable. I don't suffer from neck and back pain which I used to have this problem with my previous Wira and VIOS.
VIOS car curb weight is lighter, thus it is not meant for driving above 150km/h. U can feel the car floating when you drive above 150km/L.
VIOS certainly is a good car, and trouble free so far for 2 years used. Make sure you follow the maintenance program tailored by Toyota, it will save you all the troubles later.
All VIOS owners, pls take note that this car comes with small battery capacity, it will get flat after 1.5 years. I would suggest you change it even it works well after 2 years. Go for a larger capacity battery, it helps in the car starts and aircond loading.
As for fuel mileage, it is a very subjective things. It is much depends on your driving habit. The most high consumption of petrol is the pick up moment, do not over paddle the car during ramping up, slow ramp will help better fuel consumption.
Happy driving... with TOYOTA...
It is very good to won a great vehicle like toyota vios. the interior design is very stylish. the exterior is good when you put 17 inches sport rim with tinted window. i like my ride.
Been having this car for 4 years now and its about time to sell it. I have clocked about 150k with the longest drive to Phuket Thailand (with 1 overnight stopped over from KL) without any problem at all.
Power - definitely much better than my old wira 1.5
comfort - as good for both front seats.
Storage - excellent.
Cons - rear seat is totally hopeless and legroom is just almost non existence for the rear seat.
Overall I would rate this a 4/5 star car and great service from the toyota centre.
