Track bar busted in the back, anyway the bracket did.
The water pump is starting to leak.
The power steering pump acts funny but seems OK, will probably break sometime in the next year.
Replaced the front struts.
I also had a 1990 Olds Cutlass Calais S before, with a Quad 4, they are both great cars. Both have sustained a lot of abuse with no major work though the previous owner of the Calais had to have the engine rebuilt (heads/head gasket).
Handles like a car twice its size, but the V6 moves it good.
I'll agree on the "tough ass car" comment. A friend of mine has the same and she has been in 4 accidents in the past 2 months (no offense to her, she's not quite the driver, but I love her just the same) and the car has absolutely no body or frame damage... not even a scratch. They need to build more cars like this... body-construction wise anyways.
I also agree. I wrecked my '89 Celebrity (same chassis) on the freeway and not only did it make it home fine, but still runs great to this day. Not even a leak.
We have a 1990 Olds Cutlass Ciera SL V-6 in excellent condition. We do think it had been wrecked before we purchased it in 1993. This car has been a really tough little car and we now have 185,850 miles on it and its still running very well. We have just had some problems with a part called the crankshaft sensor and haven't a clue as to what that is. I would like some comments on that if anyone else has had that problem. Thank you.
I have a 1990 Cutlass Ciera with 312,000 miles on it. I inherited it from my dad. It has all original parts and runs great. Two years ago I was rear ended and the car that hit me was totaled but my car only has minor visible damage. After 14 years of torture, the V6 still cranks out power. What a great car.
