Everything went wrong on this crappy car, so I gave it back to the dealer. My Mustang GT is faster than this and it is a 4.6 liter.
This guy was unlucky in the vehicle delivered to him, that is unfortunate. I too own both a GT and a Z28, stock GT can't touch a Z28 in performance, only comfort of ride due to the suspension in the Mustang.
Comfort is even better for us tall people (I'm 6'2" ) in the Camaro. Power goes to the LS1.... has been proven on the track, street, and on your local road course. Magazines also have proven it.
So you must be a Ford fan, or maybe you got a lemon.
I'm sorry, I don't believe the author of this review. The Camaro is one of the highest quality controlled cars that GM builds.
There is a great deal of Ford vs. Chevrolet holy war going on. I would mostly attribute this review to that. Having extensive experience owning Chevrolets, and working at Chevy dealers, I have never experienced a Camaro with any major problems.
This guy does not know what he is talking about. Yes Mustangs are fast, the Cobra is very fast, or 351 supercharged it kind of maybe kind of a deal. I like both cars, but I still like Camaros better.
Well of course he is full of it, no dealer is going to just take back the car heh, sounds like a 15 year old brand hating for no good reason kid.
Yeah that sure was a pretty nice lie. Must be a ford fan trying to pull something. Oh well, The Camaros way better, faster, looks nicer, and to me has a better ride, more comfortable even for me and I'm 6,4.
This guy is so full of it. First of all, if you look at any performance numbers, the Camaro is way faster. And if you have ever driven both, you would know that the Camaro even feels faster. That is what is known as torque. Plus you can't just return a car. Unless maybe he is on his knees and bought it from Wal Mart.
Also, as far as space inside of each, the Camaro has a lot more room for the driver and passenger. If you need more than that, you are looking at the wrong class of car.
This guy has never owned a camaro... by the way my 2000 z28 will kick the hell out of the little 4.6 modular... wonder if he's just trying to make that mustang look better than it is... if he has one that is... my z has had a few very minor problems but nothing serious... by the way I'm running 12.9's with very few and inexpensive mods.
Mustang Gt faster than a Camaro Z28? WOW! I own a 2002 mustang gt 5 speed and a 2000 Camaro z28 automatic. Neither car has any modifications done to them and I can honestly say the gt comes no where near the z28 in power and speed, but thanks for the story. It was funny!!
Okay, everyone needs to stop calling this guy a liar. To me it sounds like a couple of yall are lying. I have never seen anybody that owns a newer model z-28 AND a newer model mustang GT and all of the sudden their all meeting in here, what did everyone in here win the lotto? Anyways I own a 2000 camaro and its not a z-28 its only a six cyl. but the same amount of quality gets put into both the z and the six. I hate my camaro and everything is going wrong with this car. It lacks in horsepower from backpressure in the fuel system and the carrier bearings have been replaced in this car 2 times in the rear end and that is not cheap. I am trying to get rid of the car, but everytime someone tries to test drive it they ask me why its backfiring! I have to tell them I don't know and that doesn't sell a car! Don't worry, I'm not a ford fan so this is nothing about chevrolet, I love chevys, just not the camaros!

I have no doubts that the guy, who wrote this review, is just another Goddamn, Mustang driver with jealous of the Camaro Z28 of it's neighbor!
I own a camaro z it's a 98 and has 53000 miles on it. It has a K and N air filter and s.l.p. exaust. I will race any mustang or cobra with the same amount of mods and smoke it. unless its the supercharged ones, those are pretty fast. I ran a 13.6 1 week after I bought the car with no mods on it at all. just good tires (ws6 wheels and firehawk tires). My friend has an 2002 firehawk. I bet that thing will keep up with the supercharged cobras. NEVER have I lost to a stock mustang gt even when I was stock I know that kid can't drive or is full of it.
Here are the facts. Ford has 10 times the racing pedigree that Chevy only dreams of. I'm speaking internationally. Hands down the Mustang is a better car. Camaro is stopping production. Case closed.
Camaro's will be back, trust me!! Its sad that Mustang had to make a "supercharged" engine just so it could keep up with a Camaro. Just imagine if chevy were to ever, ever, ever make a supercharged LS1. Watch out ford world... 2000 Chevy Camaro LS-1.
Listen, I'm driving a '00 Z28, and I've probably blown 3 or 4 Mustangs right off the line. I've got an automatic and I'm beating Mustang's with manuals. That's just sad. I've even beaten a Ram-Air Fire bird and I know they can destroy Mustangs as well. All I see now is more girls driving Mustangs than dudes. Mustang lovers really need to be more open-minded!
