Timing belt changed in 1994 (not really a problem)
Burned out tail-light/turn signal several times.
CD player no longer works.
What an excellent machine this is. It only has a few dings and scratches on it-normal wear. I bought my Cressida with 29k miles on it from the dealer after it was discontinued in 1992, all of the executives had driven it at some point in time, so I got a really good deal on this demo. But seriously-this is a really well built and engineered automobile.
For those of you not familiar with the Cressida it was the predecessor to the Lexus. Plain and simple, and it shows. It is a beautiful car and still looks quite modern in today's market. It is powerful, fast, smooth, quiet, and has every luxury option you could ever need.
I have had some minor problems with it, but nothing major like the engine or transmission. The car has 267k miles on it and runs like brand new. This is the last car I may own for quite some time...it's that good.
The Cressida is a nice car, but a bit dull. Think of a Japanese Park Avenue...
I can somewhat agree. The exterior is a bit plain and boring-but not bad though... I was in a cressida a few years ago and I remember the interior being FANASTIC!! Very high tech and tons of bells and whistles. I couldnt believe it was a 1989 car!! Even my buddy compared it to the "cadillac of japan"
