"A Beautiful and Extremely Reliable Red Coupe"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

-Struts in front and rear replaced at 92000 miles, normal wear. $300 aproximately for parts.

-New cat back installed with Stainless Steel Flowmaster muffler. 94000 miles.$120 muffler $110 cat back.

-New tires bought at 97000 miles.

-Electronic EGR valve malfunctioned at 98000 miles causing car to hesitate and turn off when stopping or slowing down $282 for part.

-Rear wheel calipers and rotors need replacing which will be done soon 98000 miles.

-The material/fabric on the interior roof is starting to come down, normal wear observed on old cars.

-Transmission filter and gasket replaced. 98000 miles.

-Transmission started shifting hard at 98000 miles, power-flushed transmission and it runs smoother now.

General comments?

-Despite problems listed, these are normal wear and tear.

-I always give this car a complete tuneup every 3,000 miles.

-Car has never left me stranded.

-Roomy, nice looking interior.

-Digital dashboard looks nice too.

-2.8 v6 doesn't have a lot of power, but doesn't disappoint you either. Wish mines came with a 3.1.

-Paint still in great condition due to the fact that I wash and wax it whenever I get the chance.

-My neighbor has a 94 Oldsmobile Achieva SL with 168000 miles and its still running strong with no problems.

-Overall great car, I would love to buy another Oldsmobile, problem is they don't make them anymore.

MY 1989 Olds cutlass supreme 2 door has 220,000 miles on 2.8 v-6 and still running strong...doesn't look pretty, but at 3.60 a gallon for gas, it gets excellent mileage.
