The gearbox had to be renovated at 170000 km.
The water pump was replaced at 120000 km.
An ABS unit replaced at 160000 km.
AC stopped cooling at 130000 km.
The central looking never worked.
It's a comfortable car and I enjoyed driving it.
The fuel consumption is very high.
The quality is lower than I expected from a Cadillac.
The cost of keeping the car running is very high.
This is what happens when you buy a high mileage car!!!
The AC quit blowing cold at 80,000 miles (was this serious or did it only need to be recharged?), an ABS unit needed to be replaced around 100,000 miles, and the transmission needed some work at 105,000. This doesn't sound all that unreasonable to me. The water pump quitting at 75,000 miles would be an annoyance, but still, what you're describing doesn't exactly scream "LEMON". I think everybody recognizes that Cadillacs have never been known for their fuel economy, so that should be no surprise.
For any automatic transmission to crap out at around 100k miles (which is the norm), that is just plain pathetic for what I've experienced. I'm 24 and have owned 5 vehicles of various makes, all with well over 100k miles, and none of them needed the transmissions replaced or rebuilt. So for a high-end vehicle, which I would expect to have the highest level of materials and engineering, to need major mechanical work at relative low mileage, this is pretty pathetic. If the transmission in an economy car out lasts that of a high end luxury car on average, something is very wrong with the auto industry.
