The drivers side electric window has broken 4 times.
The passenger side electric window has broken once.
The dashboard needs to be replaced as it 'goes crazy' for the first 20 minutes after start up, and is un-useable.
The CD player has a cd error after one cd is played and the disks need to be removed and then replaced for it to work again.
The cell phone kit installed by audi as an option, doesn't work.
On two seperate occassions the car has blown out a huge amount of white smoke when it was started. Audi claim too much oil was put in when it was serviced and said not to worry about it?
The car has a very rough sound when it first starts up.
A creaking noise in the dashboard/steering wheel turned out to be a problem with the airbag that had to be fixed.
A rattle in the passenger door was fixed, turned out to be a problem with the side impact bar not being fitted correctly.
Plastic parts in the interior have broken off.
The radio buttons plastic/paint has all flaked.
I have owned several vehicles, including GM, Peugeot and Mazda, and now the Audi. This is by far the worst car I have ever owned.
This car has been repaired so many times since buying it new. It is such an inconvenience.
Audi markets itself as a quality car, but from my experience this is a poor quality vehicle.
I have also had constant problems with the electric windows on my 1999 Audi A3, which often suddenly stop working for no apparent reason. Despite numerous repairs by an official Audi dealer, the problem has persisted. There is clearly a fundamental problem either with the design or the quality of the parts, or both, that Audi is unwilling or unable to solve.
As far as I am concerned, Audi's reputation as a prestige brand is simply not supported by the quality of their vehicles. I certainly won't be buying another Audi.
