"Very good"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Would like help in sorting out bad ideal speed car tick's over at 1500rpm and some times goes up to 2000rpm when slowing down have noticed after the car has warmed up if you put full lock on the rev's will die down to 1000rpm and stay there to you start to drive again. Have cleaned ideal speed control valve, but still running high do you think I should replace it.

General comments?

Car very fast and comfortable just wish I could sort out bad ideal speed.

Hi mate. same problem, try the egr valve. it sucks in clean air into the exhaust, lambda thinks its running lean so it richens it up... causing the high idle.

I have sort of the same problem. When the engine is cold it hunts. If you pull away hard and then drop the clutch sometimes it stalls, especially if the lights are on. This problem disappears though when the engine is warm.

Go to a Ford main dealer ask them for an idle control valve. They're no more than £49 and very easy to fit. If not, ask Ford to fit it for you. This will sort all your idling problems and the stalling.
