My transmission went out at 82,000. Then I bought an extended warranty for $1800. Then the dealer put a refurbished transmission on for free. Then I drove 1000 miles and blow out another transmission. The dealer put another transmission in for free. We now have 89,000 miles on it and it sounds like we may need to put a new timing belt and water pump.
The Trannsmission shouldn't have gone out, but the timing belt is part of the 90,000 mile service so it should be done.
Well I don't know about the transmissons on these cars, most people say they are good, but I service mine as recommended since I bought it with only 5,000 miles on it. Know it has 70,000 miles and the damn thing is slipping like crazy, and I just found out recently that the 3.0L engine it has although very nice and powerful is known for engine sludge issues, and its making a funny noise. What the hell do you call that. Cars will be cars, and I don't care what kind of car it is, they will have problems sooner or later.
This is not possible, A Lexus can never cheat on you!!!
They are like your pet, always Loyal and luxurious. They never have problems, even if you use them roughly.
This gentleman is probably an Acura or Mercedez or BMW dealer who wants to defame the Lexus brand.
I didn't change my engine oil for one year. I drive crazy, and Honest to God the car didn't complain at all. With 424670 KILOMETRES here in Canada my Lexus runs like a new car. NOt to say that I haven't taken it to a dealer, but the Engine and Transmission are ever strong and have never ever problemed me, They are the original and strong. The brakes and shocks however needed service. I plan to take this one to 1000000 kilometres. When its there ill publicize it through the media.
