My headlights keep on misting up. The dealer tells me that this is normal and to rectify this problem I should leave my headlights switched on for 45 minutes this will clear the misting. I did this the other day after driving about for 45 minutes in the day with lights a blazing getting papped at flagged and cursed at. After 45 minutes sure enough the misting had almost cleared up so pleased with my self parked car up only to go back to it 60 minutes later only to find it had misted up again. Any ideas please.
The car is sporty and quick when shown the pedal.
The car looks amazing if only I could stop the lights from misting up.
I live on the west coast of Canada, where the weather is very humid, and have experienced similar problems in the past. the solution is really very simple. Dissassemble the headlight casing; allow for it to dry completely, either by a heater or with a hairdriver; then apply waterproofing silicon along the perimeter of the lens weld; allow to dry and reassemble! Problem solved!
