"Nice car, spacious, just poor quality drive train"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Torque Converter Locked up - $1000

Rack blew seals, new rack - $620

Driver's side inner tie rod

Engine had leak in main seal

Power windows slow going down, fast going up

Fading C Pillars - Fixed by painting

Paint beginning to flake off of roof.

General comments?

I really like this car, I just wish that initial quality was higher from Dodge. I like the cab-forward design that Chrysler has with their cars. If only companies would come together and build one solid car, Chrysler body design, GM drive train, and Ford... well, Ford is on it's own.

1995 Dodge Intrepid ES.

I have one. Best Dodge I ever owned. The drivetrain is intact; no problems. Have 170,000 miles on it. The only big price items I had to replace were the climate control and the drivers side seat frame and motors combo. but nothing lasts forever.

To the owners of 1995 Intrepids ES: change all the fluids as recommended. And follow other all other recommended checks and it'll go forever.

The other side is to treat it as hot rod, don't change the fluids as recommended and you'll have a piece of junk.

Also had a 1978 and 1993 truck; lasted forever.

Thanks.
