No mechanical failures! But the inside of the car rattles and squeaks terribly! The fittings are not the best and the cabin, although comfortable, is cheap.
I love this car! Although the inside is cheap, so was the car, very cheap. I do like the wood look of the dash though!
The car is very slow as it is heavy and the engine weak, but that's OK, it can still keep up with the traffic and manage 90 on the open paved roads. Silly choice of name I think!
The Chinese do have a flair for naming things! I don't know if it's part of the traditional character, or simply an attempt following the debacle of the Cultural Revolution for the Communist Party to try to maintain a positive attitude. It would be fun to have a Chevy "Happy Feelings Pleasant Day" pickup.
Price is too high in Bangladesh ($12,142)
Please inform me of any defect of Geely cars (2006 or 2007 models) I will be very thankful to you-- (Email me at mahbubsiraj@yahoo.com)
Hi,
I am mahbub siraj form Bangladesh. I am a student of dentistry. As I am still a student I can't afford expensive or sporty type cars so I look forward to buy a of low price.
In search I visited the Geely show room. I like the car, but can't still rely on it. Geely was introduced in Bangladesh in 2006,five months back from now. The sales man told me they sold 42 cars within the last months. Five months are not at all enough to judge a cars quality. But I am confused about the price. I saw on interned that geely 2006 model is sold for less than 10,000 dollars, but in Bangladesh it is much more-about 12,142.May be the dealers are making too much profit. Thank you for reading.
If Geely ever hopes to sell vehicles in N America, they will need to come up with better model names.
Not too many people would want to admit they drive a "Merrie Beautiful Scenery".
Just "Geely" is bad enough.
Did this car already done its crash test?? Why does it have a weird name?? What does the car look likes?? Still wondering..
I'm thinking a lot if I wanna buy a Chinese car after watching another Chinese made car, a Brilliance BS6, in a test crash.. absolutely no chance to survive.. the car was badly damaged..
I don't want to gamble my life traveling with my family in a Brilliance BS6, as it's got a bad chassis..
