What I don't like from this car is the design of its dashboard. All the indicator displays are at the centre of its dashboard.
My automatic transmission is really OK, but it lacks technological advancement as compared to the one that is used in Honda City.
Overall I like Toyota as I have been using Toyota for almost 16 years since I first had my Starlet in late 1990.
To me, this car likes my other Toyotas gives me a comfort, reliability and fuel efficiency.
My Vios can give me almost 18 km/l when I use it in the highway and 13 km/l for inside city travelling using aircon.
The 1.5L VVTi engine is really powerful yet fuel efficient and smooth.
As a family compact car, Toyota VIOS is really popular in Indonesia and stands side-by-side with its rival: Honda City.
Almost 18 km/liter on the freeway? My Vios with manual transmission has average of 11 km/liter city & freeway combined. It's driven everyday on Jakarta's heavy traffic freeway. Overall it's very responsive and quite fun to drive. The thing that I don't like it: too many Limo Taxi which has the same body style.
Hi Indonesian friend, can you send me a picture of those taxi resemble to Vios? My email sh_callum@yahoo.com.sg.
I want to share this with my Vios friends...
Thanks.
I owned a VIOS 1.5Auto since 3 years ago. The petrol mileage is about 15km/L on city ride, and 11km/L on highway. Also, I had bought an Altis 1.8G, to my surprise the mileage is 18km/L and 15km/L, far out out beat the Hyundai Elanta. So, Toyota becomes the popular car due to its reliability as well as low fuel consumption.
One thing I would like to say, it is the driving habit that determines the mileage. That is why fuel mileage differs from car to car on the same platform.
