Belt slip causing squeaking sound at 59000. Puller needing replacing. Seat belt did not retract properley . Interior creaks and rattles. Oil consumption, piston slap. Breaks scrubbed whilst driving. Very poor tire wear.
I bought this vehicle second hand private sale. It chewed oil I serviced had it every 5000kms. It handles quite poorly, the suspension feels every minor bump. Rattles and trim creak, i took this vehicle to holden to have the puller and belt replaced. They palmed me off regarding the piston slap until the warranty ran out. Should of never sold my ef2 Fairmont for this late model over priced holden commodore garabge.
The supercharged V6 rarely had piston slap and oil consumption problems.
I think it's a poor attempt from a Ford fan to degrade Holden.
Well t don't think it is a poor attempt what so ever, I owned a falcon Ed model and I swear the only part I had to change in 280 thousand KM was 2 idle bearing pulleys. upon trading it in for my New Commodore same as above mentioned, I noticed the same issues as above. so much so it was repaired 8 times in 8 months. and after the 8 month period to have a door skin pull off had me stunned. not to mention the seat belt rectactor ceasing, the air flow controller having to be replaced as well as the recirculated air actuator, oh and the brake lights rewired or shorting out.. id say my car was an expensive display of cheap tacky overlooked hunk of metal. not to mention the harsh viabrations from the tail shaft. id pay anything to get my old futura back. and I will never buy another holden again.
